Can't shoot through fences Empty Can't shoot through fences

I was 1v1ing someone he had a shotgun and i had AR-15 but he was behind a fence and me too ofcourse.. So i was shooting him through it but i couldn't hit him but he could hit me through it with a shotgun and i couldn't please fix it.. It was in a city i dont remember which one
